Add Some Sizzle To Your Smile With Dental Veneers
With the Fourth of July coming up, it’s a reminder of the many freedoms we get to enjoy in this great country of ours. That got us thinking about fireworks about the “wow factor” that makes so many fireworks displays so great.
You can enjoy the “wow factor” too with dental veneers, which could be a great option for almost anyone interested in cosmetic dentistry. We’ve seen what Dr. Scott Krosser, our dentist in Millburn, NJ, can do with veneers.
Now, it’s your turn to see the results for yourself.
Fireworks For Your Smile
If you are looking to add some sparkle to your smile, then dental veneers may be exactly what you want. With a properly fitted set of dental veneers, you could have a brand new and better smile in a matter of weeks.
Here’s a taste of what dental veneers can do:
❊ Fix your chipped tooth
Chipped teeth happen to millions of people every year. It may seem like something small, but if the chip is in a conspicuous part of our smile, it could make your feel self-conscious.
A dental veneer can offer a long-term solution to restore your tooth to its original shape and size.
❊ Brighten your smile
Teeth whitening can work wonders on stained teeth, but it isn’t the only way to improve the color of your smile. Dental veneers can be equally effective at giving you the bright, white smile that you’ve been dreaming about.
Unlike teeth whitening, veneers can work on issues above and beyond staining. Since veneers are more like covers that conceal your teeth, they can be used to change the color of individual teeth.
Veneers also can be used to change the color of teeth that are darker due to injuries or illnesses. Dental veneers can be equally effective at hiding teeth that turned colors as a result of the side effects of certain medications or worn-down enamel.
❊ Restore teeth that suffered from wear and tear
We put our teeth through a lot. We often use them to do things they aren’t intended to so, like holding things or helping us open things.
This, in addition to the everyday function of our teeth, can cause them to wear down more in some places than others. If enough enamel wears away, the yellower dentin (the layer below the enamel) may begin to show through.
Again, teeth whitening may not fix this, but dental veneers can.
❊ Close gaps between your teeth
Many people have gaps between teeth that they wish weren’t there. You can hide them with the right kind of dental veneers. Dr. Krosser could help you change your smile by getting veneers to hide that extra space you wish wasn’t there.
❊ Straighten up your smile
If you have minor crowding or crooked teeth, dental veneers may be a faster way to give yourself the straight smile you want. Dental veneers can be a safe, effective, and efficient way to to get your smile in line.
❊ Mix and match
Dental veneers’ versatility means they can fix multiple issues that same time. Whether your teeth are chipped and crooked or discolored with gaps between them, dental veneers may be exactly what you need to build your new smile and maybe some newfound confidence as well.
Before you commit to getting veneers, you can have an idea of what changes you can expect. At Millburn Dental Arts, we can craft a wax-up for you. This way you see what your smile could look like before you decide if you want to get dental veneers.
Assuming you do want to improve your smile, here’s how to get dental veneers.
First, you schedule a consultation with Dr. Krosser. This gives him an opportunity to examine your mouth and to hear what you would like to change about your smile. Then he can advise you on what services, including veneers, could make that happen.
If you are a good candidate and you decide to get veneers, you will return for another visit. This is when we may remove a thin layer of enamel (to make room for your veneers) and take impressions to send to the dental lab so they can craft custom-fitted veneers for you.
When your veneers are ready, you’ll return to our office, and we will bond them to your teeth. You can leave our office with a brand new smile.
The whole process takes a few weeks, but the results can last for decades.
