Q: How often should I get my teeth cleaned?
That differs from person to person, but generally we encourage you to come in twice a year for a thorough dental cleaning with one of our two hygienists. We also do a full dental exam, during which we’ll check for everything from oral cancer to early signs of decay and gum disease.
Q: Can I bring my whole family for dental care?
Yes! Family-focused dental care is our specialty. We try to introduce even the youngest members of a family to the benefits of dental care as early as possible. We encourage parents to bring their kids along during their dental visits to get them accustomed to the dentist, and we welcome patients as young as 3. Children get to select a prize from our “treasure chest” after their dental exams and receive goodie bags with tooth care products.
Q: Do you have orthodontics options other than traditional metal braces?
Yes! Dr. Scott Krosser offers Invisalign, a series of custom-made clear plastic trays that slowly and painlessly realign your teeth and bite. They slide invisibly over your teeth, so no one will even know you are wearing them! You can take them out to eat or drink, then put them back in after cleaning your teeth. If worn properly, they can straighten a smile in less than a year – without the pain or embarrassment of traditional metal braces.
Q: I’m scared of dental treatment. What can you do to help?
Millburn Dental Arts eases dental anxiety by offering longer appointment times and after-hours visits, among other options. But our advanced dental technology really alleviates your stress! Dr. Krosser and our caring team use high-tech lasers that make it possible to perform procedures without pain, needles, cutting, or stitches. For example, using a laser, we can treat a cavity and place a tooth filling with no need for a drill or Novocaine.
